Tips
Do the qualitative-analysis questions from several sessions in one go. The tests for ions and gases are a small fixed list that barely changes year to year, so meeting them together turns them from something to remember into something you know.
Mark your equations as a marker would: unbalanced is zero; missing state symbols where the scheme asks is zero; a full equation where an ionic one was wanted is zero. These are the cheapest marks in the subject and the ones most often given away.
Once the content is secure, work whole papers to time. Stoichiometry questions are long enough that running out of time is a real failure mode.
