Trois autres paires de traduction identique : on the contrary反而 vs opposite相反 (deux « opposés » — adverbe vs adjectif), to be certain肯定 / definite确定 / definitely一定 (trois « sûr/sûre » — affirmer, vérifier, insister), et to fit适合 vs suitable合适 ("to suit" vs "suitable" — les caractères inversés). Dans chaque paire, la grammaire le travail décide quel mot vous avez besoin.
on the contrary反而 vs opposite相反 : adverbe vs adjectif
吃水果not only (... but also ...)不但not / haven't没benefit好处,on the contrary反而to have / there is有harm坏处。 (Chī shuǐguǒ búdàn méi hǎochu, fǎn'ér yǒu huàichu.) — Manger des fruits ne fait pas seulement du bien — au contraire, cela nuit.
I / me我(modifier / structural particle)的way of thinking想法with / and跟he / him他opposite相反。 (Wǒ de xiǎngfǎ gēn tā xiāngfǎn.) — Mon idée est l'opposé de la sienne.
- on the contrary反而 est un adverbe — "au lieu de", "par contre" — placé avant le verbe, à l'intérieur d'une proposition, marquant un résultat contraire.
- opposite相反 est un adjectif — "l'opposé" — il décrit une chose (with / and跟...opposite相反) ou ouvre une phrase comme lien (opposite相反,… "au contraire, …").
Le test d'échange : on the contrary反而to have / there is有harm坏处 ✓ (place pour un adverbe), with / and跟he / him他opposite相反 ✓ (place pour un adjectif) — mais with / and跟he / him他on the contrary反而 ✗.
Essayez-le. Rapportez un plan qui a mal tourné : I / me我to advise劝he / him他rest休息,he / him他on the contrary反而more更to get angry生气(completed / change)了。(Wǒ quàn tā xiūxi, tā fǎn'ér gèng shēngqì le.) — Je lui ai conseillé de se reposer, et il s'est mis encore plus en colère à la place.
to be certain肯定 / definite确定 / definitely一定 : trois sortes de certitude
you你definite确定他会来(yes/no ?)吗? (Nǐ quèdìng tā huì lái ma?) — Es-tu sûr qu'il viendra ?
he / him他to be certain肯定can / will会to come来。 (Tā kěndìng huì lái.) — Il viendra sûrement.
| Mot | Type de certitude | Signature |
|---|---|---|
| to be certain肯定 | une affirmation confiante | he / him他to be certain肯定can / will会to come来 — "viendra certainement" |
| definite确定 | une certitude que vous avez vérifiée | you你definite确定(yes/no ?)吗? — "avez-vous vérifié ?" |
| definitely一定 | une expectation ou une exigence | definitely一定can / will会to come来 «certainement» ; definitely一定want / will / need要to be careful小心 «soyez sûr de faire attention» |
to be certain肯定 affirme le fait lui-même ; definite确定 porte sur votre propre certitude vérifiée ; definitely一定 s'oriente vers l'avenir, soit en prédisant (definitely一定can / will会) soit en exigeant (definitely一定want / will / need要).
Essayez-le. Accompagnez un ami en toute sécurité : on the road路上definitely一定want / will / need要to be careful小心!(Lùshang yídìng yào xiǎoxīn!) — Soyez sûr de prendre soin de vous pendant le trajet !
to fit适合 vs suitable合适 : convenir à vs adapté
this这个color颜色not不to fit适合he / him他。 (Zhège yánsè bù shìhé tā.) — Cette couleur ne lui convient pas.
black黑色only then / not until才to be / is是最合适(modifier / structural particle)的。 (Hēisè cái shì zuì héshì de.) — Le noir est le plus adapté.
Mêmes deux caractères inversés — et cet inversion change la grammaire :
- to fit适合 (shìhé) est un verbe : «convenir à», et il prend un complément d'objet — to fit适合I / me我,not不to fit适合he / him他.
- suitable合适 (héshì) est un adjectif : «adapté», se comportant comme n'importe quel adjectif — 很合 to fit适,最合适(modifier / structural particle)的 — et il ne prend pas de complément d'objet.
Astuce mnémotechnique : to fit适variant of 合合 finit par variant of 合合 comme un verbe prenant une chose ; variant of 合合to fit适 finit par to fit适 comme dans cozy舒适 (confortable) — un mot qualitatif.
Attention : this这个suitable合适you你 ✗ → this这个to / towards / correct对you你degree / adjective linker很suitable合适 ✓, ou simplement this这个degree / adjective linker很suitable合适.
Essayez-le. Faites des achats pour un cadeau avec un ami : this这个gift礼物to fit适合mama妈妈(yes/no ?)吗?……interjection indicating…嗯,degree / adjective linker很suitable合适!(Zhège lǐwù shìhé māma ma? … Ńg, hěn héshì!) — Ce cadeau convient-il à maman ? … Mm, très adapté !
