This frame covers Sentence + 来着 — "(was just) …, what was it again?". 来着 closes a spoken sentence when the speaker reaches back to something recent: a scene that was just there, or a remark that was just made. The feel is "was just …" or "what was it again?" The tone is informal and a little uncertain. It is natural in conversation and in casual messages. In an essay, a report, or a formal email, give the same fact as a plain sentence and leave the tag out. The same speaker uses it in easy talk and drops it when the talk turns official.
