Tips
AP 2-D Art and Design is a portfolio course, not an exam course. You submit fifteen Selected Works demonstrating 2-D design skills, and a Sustained Investigation of fifteen images with written evidence showing how one inquiry question developed over time.
The Sustained Investigation is judged on the process, not on fifteen finished pieces. Work that experiments, revises and visibly changes scores higher than fifteen polished but unrelated images.
The writing is assessed too. A vague inquiry question — "I explored colour" — cannot be evidenced; a specific one can. Photograph and date every stage as you go, because the evidence of development cannot be reconstructed at the end.
This is a portfolio course, so the notes deal with what Selected Works and Sustained Investigation actually require, and with writing the accompanying text inside the character limits. There is no written exam to revise for; the library carries the published scoring guidelines instead.
