A decision before an answer
- Five required words are not a paragraph. Their relationships must form a coherent event or explanation.
- Your goal: Develop connected writing using supplied information.
Read the relationship
- For a required-word response, create a plan before drafting. Each word needs a meaningful grammatical role.
- Keep required words natural and grammatically integrated.
A coherent response should:
The reader needs a meaningful relationship between ideas.
Use the defining rule
- Keep tense/aspect and references consistent. Explain the event sequence or cause rather than listing unrelated sentences.
- Describe a scene without inventing unsupported facts.
When a photo does not show someone’s name, you should:
Visible information supports description without identity claims.
Check the conditions
- For a visual prompt, anchor the writing in visible information and distinguish observation from interpretation.
- Describe a scene without inventing unsupported facts.
Required ideas: friend, delay, station, telephone, finally. Plan: friend delayed → phone at station → arrange a later meeting → finally meet. Use them to support one event, with a clear cause and outcome.
“Finally” can be 最____。
最后 marks the concluding event or stage.
Apply the task format
- Legacy HSK 5 short-writing practice has its own instructions and length requirements. New-format readiness also requires review against the new syllabus tasks and samples.
- Describe a scene without inventing unsupported facts.
Do not copy every prompt word into an incoherent sentence to claim task completion.
