Tips
IGCSE Business Studies (0450) has six topics: understanding business activity, people in business, marketing, operations management, financial information and decisions, and external influences. Both papers are built around short case studies.
The case study is the paper. An answer that defines a term correctly but never mentions the business in the stem earns the knowledge mark and stops. The same answer tied to that business — its size, its market, its cash position — earns application and analysis too.
Read the stem twice before writing; the details in it are the marks. The financial content — cash-flow forecasts, break-even, simple ratios — is the most reliably scorable part, because it is right or wrong rather than judged.
