A-Level Economics

Tips

A-Level Economics (9708) splits in two. Microeconomics: scarcity, the price system, elasticity, market failure, government intervention. Macroeconomics: national income, the multiplier, inflation, unemployment, growth, policy and trade. A2 goes deeper into the same ground rather than adding new ground.

The skill being tested is not recall. It is draw the diagram, then evaluate. An answer that describes a policy scores badly. An answer that says what the policy does, draws the diagram, then says when it would not work scores well.

"It depends on" is not hedging here — the conditions are exactly where the evaluation marks live.
