Speaking
Speaking Room
The real three-part interview, under the real clock. You type your answers; three of the four criteria are marked.
Card 28 / 40
Part 1 · Photographs
Four familiar-topic questions. Answer each one, then add one reason or example — never a single word.
- Do you take many photographs?
- What do you usually photograph?
- Do you ever print them, or keep them all on your phone?
- Has anyone in your family kept old photographs?
Part 2 · The long turn
Describe a time a plan did not go as you expected.
You should say:
- what you had planned
- what went wrong
- what you did afterwards
- and explain what you would do differently next time
1:00
One minute to prepare with paper and a pencil — the box stays locked, exactly as the examiner keeps the card. Then two minutes, and it does not stop early.
Part 3 · Discussion
Abstract follow-ups on the same theme. Give a view, a reason, an example, then the other side — a one-sentence answer is the standard failure here.
- Why do people underestimate how long a task will take?
- What makes a backup plan realistic?
- Should people explain a delay before they know how to solve it?
- How can a team recover when one task is late?
