It must be your own
- The portfolio must be your own work — borrowed images and AI tools have strict rules.
- Working from someone else's photo or artwork requires a citation 引用 in that image's fields.
- Substantially copying another artist — even cited — cannot demonstrate your development.

- Integrity is artistic self-interest: your own seeing is the only unique material you have.
- When in doubt, cite — thirty seconds of typing removes the risk.

One uncited reference photo can put the whole portfolio at risk — the penalty is out of all proportion to the thirty seconds citing it would have taken. Cite every image you did not make, every time.

You work from a friend's photograph of their grandmother. Cited in the image's materials field ("from a photograph by [name], used with permission"), it is completely fine. Uncited, the same drawing risks the entire portfolio. Same drawing, one line of difference.
