This frame covers 假使 …… ，就 …… — "if … then …". 假使 (jiǎshǐ) means "if", "supposing", or "in the event that". It opens a supposed condition, and the following clause states the result. Writers usually place 就 (jiù) before that result, or 便 (biàn) when the sentence should feel more written. 如果 (rúguǒ), 假如 (jiǎrú), and 倘若 (tǎngruò) share this logic. The difference is mainly register: how formal the sentence feels., Like 如果 but in reports, essays and formal speech.
