Speaking pronunciation: ตรวจสอบตัวเอง 5 ข้อ
ทำให้เมื่อวานนี้ได้ยินได้ในประโยคสั้นๆ
-
Compare a recording of “I walk to class” with “I walked to class”. The ending may carry the timeline; a correct written answer does not show whether a listener heard it.
-
Speaking is marked on four criteria, and Pronunciation is one of them — a full quarter. You can prepare for it with specific, audible practice instead of trying to imitate a particular accent.
-
A British or American accent is not required. What matters is whether the listener can understand you without excessive effort. Speech patterns differ among learners, including speakers of different Chinese varieties. Use the five checks below to find your priorities; they are not a complete list or a diagnosis.
*พจนานุกรมแสดงเครื่องหมายstressได้;但它不能举起你的舌头给你。"
Pronunciation เป็นหนึ่งในเกณฑ์ Speaking กี่ข้อ?
สี่เกณฑ์ที่มีน้ำหนักเท่ากัน: Fluency and coherence, Lexical resource, Grammatical range and accuracy, และ Pronunciation
1. ตรวจสอบพยัญชนะท้าย
- Some English final consonants and clusters may be unfamiliar if your other languages do not use them. Test what your recording actually contains. Compare desk / des and helped / help. If your recording makes a pair sound alike, practise the contrast in a sentence.
2. The -ed and -s endings are grammar too
- If an ending cannot be heard, the listener may miss tense or number. Examiners assess your whole performance across the criteria; there is no automatic double penalty for one sound.
In these regular past forms, bases ending in /t/ or /d/ take /ɪd/ (needed). Other voiceless base sounds take /t/ (walked), and other voiced sounds take /d/ (lived). Use the base’s final sound, not its last written letter.
3. เปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างในการพูดของคุณเอง
- /θ/ และ /ð/ — think, this.
/i:/ และ /ɪ/ — sheep / ship, feel / fill. ความแตกต่างนี้เกี่ยวข้องกับคุณภาพของสระและความยาวด้วย; ตรวจสอบจากแหล่งเสียงที่เชื่อถือได้แทนการแค่ลดเวลาของสระยาว เลือกความแตกต่างหนึ่งหรือสองจุดที่ผู้ฟังจริงๆ แล้วเข้าใจยาก แล้วค่อยกลับไปฝึกส่วนอื่นทีหลัง
4. Word stress can affect recognition
Where is the stress in 'photography'?
phoTOgraphy. เปรียบเทียบ PHOtograph และ photoGRAPHic: คำที่เกี่ยวข้องกันสามารถย้ายน้ำหนักเสียงหลักได้
5. Sentence stress and intonation
- ภาษาอังกฤษมักให้ความสำคัญกับคำที่มีนัยสำคัญทางความหมายเช่น คำนาม กริยาหลักและคำวิเศษณ์ คำเล็กๆ อาจมีเสียงเบากว่า ลองพูด I'd LIKE to GO to the LIbrary.
Speaking with flat, even stress on every word makes you easier to understand.
No. Prominence and natural pauses help listeners follow your meaning; giving every word identical stress can make that harder.
ท้ายคำสามารถบอกช่วงเวลาได้
- เปรียบเทียบ “I walk to class” และ “I walked to class”.

Match the distinctions in this worked case.
Record the pair, then use each in a fresh reply about today or yesterday. If the ending disappears outside rehearsal, return to it inside a short phrase.
What evidence can show whether your final /t/ is audible?
Compare “I walk to class” and “I walked to class”. The final sound in walked signals the past in this pair; a listener needs the full sentence to interpret the time. Record the pair, then use each in a fresh reply about today or yesterday. If the ending disappears outside rehearsal, return to it inside a short phrase.
