别说 … ，就是 … 也 … (let alone)

Tired on the stairs

• A friend suggests climbing Mount Huashan. You get tired walking upstairs.
• let alone别说bié shuōclimbing mountains爬山pá shān(completed / change)了le，even就是jiù shìwalking走zǒustairs楼梯lóu tīI我wǒ(even)也yěto feel / think觉得jué detires me累lèi。 — "Forget climbing mountains — even walking upstairs tires me."

let alone别说bié shuō A，even就是jiù shì B (even)也yě / even都dōu …

• let alone别说bié shuō A，even就是jiù shì / even连lián B (even)也yě … = "let alone A, even B …": B is the easier case, and even that fails (or succeeds), so A obviously does.
• The harder case A comes first, after let alone别说bié shuō.

let alone别说bié shuōa hundred一百yì bǎiyuan块kuài，even就是jiù shìone yuan一块yí kuàiI我wǒ(even)也yědon't have没有méi yǒu。

Positive too

• 这道题zhè dào tí，let alone别说bié shuōteacher老师lǎo shī，even就是jiù shìprimary school student小学生xiǎo xué shēng(even)也yěcan / will会huìto make做zuò。 — "This question — never mind the teacher, even a primary-school pupil could do it."
