IGCSE Physics

Tips

IGCSE Physics (0625) has six topics: motion, forces and energy; thermal physics; waves; electricity and magnetism; nuclear physics; space physics.

Check your tier first. Papers exist for six components, and which you sit depends on whether you are entered for Core or Extended. Extended-only content is a large part of the syllabus and is wasted revision if you are on Core.

The commonest lost marks are the cheapest to fix: missing units, the wrong number of significant figures, and answers that give a number without the formula that produced it. Definitions are marked against exact wording — learn them as written, not as remembered.
