Speaking
Speaking Room
The real three-part interview, under the real clock. You type your answers; three of the four criteria are marked.
Card 21 / 40
Part 1 · Travel and transport
Four familiar-topic questions. Answer each one, then add one reason or example — never a single word.
- How do you usually get to school or work?
- What do you think of the public transport where you live?
- Have you ever travelled by train for a long distance?
- Where would you go if you had a free week?
Part 2 · The long turn
Describe a routine you started that has been useful.
You should say:
- what the routine involves
- when you started it
- how you fitted it into your day
- and explain why it has been useful
1:00
One minute to prepare with paper and a pencil — the box stays locked, exactly as the examiner keeps the card. Then two minutes, and it does not stop early.
Part 3 · Discussion
Abstract follow-ups on the same theme. Give a view, a reason, an example, then the other side — a one-sentence answer is the standard failure here.
- Why do people sometimes abandon a new routine?
- Is a small change easier to maintain than a large one?
- How can a routine help without making life too rigid?
- Should schools give students more control over daily schedules?
