Speaking
Speaking Room
The real three-part interview, under the real clock. You type your answers; three of the four criteria are marked.
Card 31 / 40
Part 1 · Your home town
Four familiar-topic questions. Answer each one, then add one reason or example — never a single word.
- Where is your home town?
- What is the most interesting part of it?
- Has it changed much since you were a child?
- Would you like to live there in the future? Why?
Part 2 · The long turn
Describe a demonstration that helped you understand something.
You should say:
- where you saw it
- what was demonstrated
- what you noticed
- and explain how it changed your understanding
1:00
One minute to prepare with paper and a pencil — the box stays locked, exactly as the examiner keeps the card. Then two minutes, and it does not stop early.
Part 3 · Discussion
Abstract follow-ups on the same theme. Give a view, a reason, an example, then the other side — a one-sentence answer is the standard failure here.
- Why can a demonstration be easier to remember than an explanation?
- What are the limitations of learning from one demonstration?
- Should students make predictions before seeing a result?
- How can a presenter make a demonstration accessible to a large audience?
