This frame covers 因(为)……，而……. 因(为)……而…… joins a cause to the result that follows. 因为 states the reason and, in careful writing, often shortens to 因, with the same meaning. 而 is the hinge. It turns from the reason to the action someone takes, or to the state that then holds. In English the link is "because (of) X, thereby Y." The result has to follow.
