The yi family sets four different boundaries. Yishang means at or above a line: nian shouru wu wan yishang, annual income of fifty thousand or more. Yixia means at or below: wushi yuan yixia, fifty yuan or less. Yinei means inside a range: santian yinei, within three days. Yiwai means outside: Beijing yiwai, outside Beijing. Yishang and yixia include the boundary number itself, which is the detail that gets tested.
